it is definitely an entry level sub...not gonna go very low..but for the money if ur looking at just starting off...it might be an option. look at the HE's and HE-2's(which are DVC) and they might get u into something middle of the road

PunchZ-100 Watts RMS/200 Max
HE- 200 Watts RMS/400 Max
HE-2-400 watts RMS (200 per coil)/800 watts max

the rockford subs are loud!!! but thats about it. A few things that they can not do is go very low, or hit hard. they have a mushy sound to them when it comes to very hard hitting bass. like 95CoupinIt said a very entery level sub.

I have two Rockford 10's and They hit pretty hard, I also have a decent AMP and box, which all make a difference. Several people have mistaken them for 12's, although if I had to do it again, that's what I would have gotten, 12'.

like i said....they are loud, but thats it.....They can not Hit hard or get a wide variety of bass. If you want some decent subs that are only a little more, look at polks. These are very nice subs
