Default Fog Light Wiring

I am attempting to install a set of fog lights. They came with a wiring kit. However the kit was set to hook the lights into the high or low beams. I wired it up for constant power (using the battery instead of wires to the lights). I am having trouble with blown 5 amp fuses. Here is the setup. On one side of the relay I have a wire from the battery through a 5 amp fuse. Then from the relay to the fog lights. On the other side of the relay I have a switch wired directly to the battery (instead of the low beams) to the relay and ground. Everthing works but I keep blowing the fuse. It runs longer on the 7.5 amp fuse but I dont want any fires. Any suggestions.

That would be one cheezzyy pair of foglights if all they needed was a 5 amp fuse, also you have to wonder if something wasn't lost in translation.

Yes the instructions and wiring diagram were vague to say the least. As I understand you tap into the headlight circuit on the control side of the relay. The current from the headlight circuit (high or low beam) ensure the fog lights only come on with the headlights. (It is silly that you would want fog lights on with your high beams )
