? for FCM, B18C, WRX KILLER.....
im in the middle of wiretucking my eh3, anyway im mounting my new battery in the spare tire well. its a stinger spv35 if that matters. im going to ground it in the rear of the car, but im wondering if there would be any benefit to running a 4 awg ground up the front of the car also. maybe to the firewall area, or the engine bay?
i just want to make sure all the engine sensors and ecu is getting a good ground since im moving the battery to the opposite end of the vehicle. is this overkill? or do you think its a good idea? maybe im overthinking this, but i would like other installers inputs. THANKS LP.

No you can ground the battery in the trunk. Just make sure that its to the chassie and there is no voltage loss or drop. Ground does not care were it located as long as its not on a spot of the body were its tacked to the main chassie to cause a drop. Use a 4 gauge and a high quality ground or 12 volt drisrubition block and keep it neat.

yeah ive got the rf terminals from work (bestbuy) theyve got 2 4 awg outs on them. and ive got 3 of the 4 awg ground wires that came out of the 3 4 awg rf kits i bought. so i guess ill just run both 4 awg off the terminal and ground them both in the hatch. and i usually use my 1/4 right angle grinder to clean paint off for grounds. i may even see if i can get my hands on some jl ground studs to use where i ground it, or buy some nuts and bolts and make a stud.
also i used 2 of these on my firewall where my alt. and starter wire will hook up. i think there pretty cool. http://www.quickcar.net/electric/57700.html

I agree, you should not need to run a ground from the batt. all the way to the front.
Although it may look cool, the fire wall "studs" add connections on a high current line that are not needed, I would run the 4ga power lead from the batt, directly to the starter motor, then run an 8ga from the starter motor to the under hood fuse box, leave the alt. connected to the under dash fuse box. 94
