well my system,[stock prelude95 with factory optional cd changer] it says error1 i read the book and it says when it says error one i should go take it to a dealership. thats gonna cost too much money, all i know so far is that the cd holder wont com out of the cd changer. should i just take out the cd changer and see if i can solve the problem myself? [i dont know much about this stuff] or should i just get a new cd player? which one is gonna end up being the better choice? and btw i dont want a fancy looking cd player the reason i want to try to keep it stock is because i dont want to get jacked, there are alot of hoodlums
in my neighborhood and for some reason they think its fun to steal emblems [espicaily mine

error1 is a failure in your tray and/or its motor.... just toss it... and get another oem unit their cheap and depending on what year you can use an integra or civic one also...
just make sure you have the serial # on the oem one if you buy one and you can get the security code at the dealership for free.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Before you "toss it" try this, with a slim hard pc. of plastic, [like a credit card] slip the card under the CD cartage push it in and out around the middle, that should "pop" the cartage out, remove all discs, there may be one missing, reinstall cartage, wait a min. then push the cartage eject button, if it pops out and it has a disk in it, reload the rest of the disks, you should be good to go.
If the cartage will not pop out, [with the credit card] try unplugging the changer and plugging it back in again, if the processor in the changer is latched it will reboot, if that dose not work then it may be the processor in the HU that is latched you can reboot it by disconnecting the neg. batt. term and wait a min. then reconnect, if you do this you MUST have the radio code, [if your HU is a coded one, red led flashing on the HU]
The "jammed disk" was a common problem on the multi disk changers in Honda/Acura and the Alpine changer of the same type, the fix is the same for both the Alpine and the Honda unit, [ pop out cartage remove disks reload cartage to pick up disk]
