ECU CUT OFF?
Hey i heard that you can have a ecu cut off switch? I was wondering how is that possible? has anyone done it? could anyone tell me how they did it?which wires they cut? Btw i have a 2000 civic ex coupe
Yes you can, if you cut the output from the "PGM-FI Main Relay", [also called fuel pump relay] there are 2 relays in the "PGM-FI Main Relay, one is for the fuel pump and the other is for the "Powertrain Control Module", [2 power inputs to the "PCM"] and the "Fuel Injectors", if an on/off switch is installed on the output line, yellow/black, [on 96-98 Civics] it will cut power to the "PCM" and "FI" if the switch is installed on the power input to the "PGM-FI Main Relay" white/black, [again on 96-98 Civics] it will cut power to "ECM", "FI" and the fuel pump relay coil, also installing a switch on the power input to the "ECM"s relay coil, yellow/green, [also 96-98 Civic] sorry do not know if the colors are the same on a 2000, will also shut down the "PCM", "FI" and fuel pump.
