Quick question, i ordered a SIR-ECL1 (sirius sat. radio for eclise) and will be installing it tonight, the question I have is I currently have my iPod plugged into the Lan port on the AVN, which the Sirius needs. All my iPod controls are currently accessed through a "sirius" button that appears when its plugged in. The install guide that came with my SIR-ECL1 shows it can be hooked in inline with one or more cd changers through the input Lan on the box. Can I plug my iPod control box into the control box for sirius or will that not work? Thanks for your help, pics when i get off work.

 

you should be able to plug your ipod cable into the input of the sirius box without trouble. the 5435 isn't fully ipod capable so you'll never have that full control like with some head units

 

great thanks alot, I just got the sirius installed so I'll plug in the iPod unit tonight, i was just worried b/c the ipod usues same screen same sirius.

 

Back up, I finally got around to installing the iPod boc back in my car and it does not work right. I had it installed for awhile before I put in my Sirius so I know i installed it correctly. I will try to get picks up when i get home from work, but when the input cable is plugged into the sirius the radio works but the screen flashes "antenna" about once every 5 seconds, needless to say that is not cool. Is there any other way to make this work sort of upgrading to a newer unit?

Did you install the antenna properly? Are there any kinks? Sat antennas are very sensitive to that sort of stuff.

 

My sat radio works great all the time, its when I plug iPod box into it that the "antenna" message pops up. During that time sat radio still works great I just dont want to watch that message every 5 seconds.
