Dynamat tips and questions
Ok I have purchased everything I need to install all of my new system and I went to begin the install tonight beginning with removing my old door speakers, running the cable and I attempted to cut the dynamat and lay it on the doors but I got real flustered and didn't want to waste those expensive sheets so I figured i'll put it off for this weekend and do the entire install at once.
Some questions I have about dynamat:
1) For the doors, where should I lay the dynamat, anyone have pictures of their door panels when they did theirs? Should I lay it on the surface that the door panel clips to and also the outer skin(like on the opposite side of where the side moldings are)?
2) Should I buy a dynamat roller or will it be just as easy without one?
3) When I am doing the door skin(where the door panel clips onto), there are parts of it that sink in, should I just let the dynamat hover over that space or do I need to press it down in there, or should I cut around those spots and cut some to fit in the space?
4) On the door panels there are places that are open I am assuming for access to the inside of the door skin, should I cut the dynamat to leave that space open or should I let the dynamat lay over that.
5) This isn't about dynamat but my old speakers that I took out have rust on the magnets from I guess water getting in the door, what should I do to keep my new speakers from getting wet?
Really if anyone has any pictures of a honda/acura door panel or trunk area that are dynamatted that would help a lot.
If anyone has any tips for laying the dynamat please post them so I can use them this weekend.

I'll post some picsof my tegs with the doors done. It up to you how you want to do it. I choose to do the whole door. some say that that is a over kill but I got the sound I wanted. I also do the door skin. the part behind the speaker. you really don't need a roller. Just make sure that the serface is clean with no grease. Then make sure to press all parts of the mat on the door. You can rub your hands over it to do the job. But you can also get the roller to make it alittle easier.
check this thread for pics of my installation in my integra.
