Hey all,

I'm installing a double din in my EG hatch. I wanted to know where i can find an upper dash bezel which would already be made for a double din. I was looking around the forum and think they are called JDM dash console or something along those lines. I can't find anything anywhere.

I also wanted to know how difficult it is to relocate the climate controls. I have a JDM double din lower console and am planning to stick it there. I'm purchasing a spare heater controller cable and I already have obtained an extra wiring harness for it.

I'm not the one who's going to install all of this, but i'm looking for any advice or tips that I can relay back to my installers.

It sounds like you've already got the only option available to do this neatly, and that's the lower console. Anything going into the stock location is going to require some cutting and custom work. Same goes for relocating the climate control, it's slightly bigger than a single din hole.

 

I'm prepared for a custom job. I'm just wondering how others have mounted their heater controller in the lower console piece.

 

The job is coming along nicely. I am having someone local do the entire ordeal. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Looks great. In for completed pics. Just picked up a Pioneer AVH-X2800BS for the CR-V. Should be easy as cake to do double din in the V though.

Thanks everyone! I will post the heater controller in the double din audio console when I get a chance. It's not installed in the car, but I don't mind giving you a sneak peak.

I'm thinking the car should be completed around the end of January or early February. It's a bit of a wait, but I have to finish everything in stages. Patience!
