Default Do I need a capacitor or alternator?

I'm running 2 amps. a JL e4300 x4 ch and a JL 300/2 x1 to an 12" alpine type e. When I first turn on the system, it sounds loud and theres lots of bass. After awhile of playin like 30-60 min at high volume, the bass hits less and less. Sometimes one of my amps will turn off and then turn back on after a couple minutes. At night I have NO dimming lights or anything. the e4300 makes 45wx4 rms and the 300/2 makes 300wx1 rms. I was thinking about upgrading to a 500/1 and a 300/4 to see if I would still have this problem. All this in a 99 civic coupe. What would cause the decrease in bass and how to solve this?

If you are not having dimming problems, and you are not running into low batt., [starting] problems, [after running the system for 30 -60 min.] the first thing I would check is power and ground connections and with your symptom's I would check the main power fuse and/or any fuses at a splitter, for heat after running the system to the point that the bass stops "hitting as hard", be careful if the problem is the fuse it can be very hot. 94
