Default Die Hard security batteries..do they work???

After reading posts that everybody's cars get stolen if with alarms etc. I was just wondering if those Diehard Security batteries would actually be able to stop a thief or not. Seems like they always find a way to bypass everything.

Yes and no. I agree with evreything teken said, but the batteries I have had experience with have had some serious electrical problems, I am on my second one, my friend is on his THIRD. All were replaced under the legnthy warranty. Hopefully sears has worked out these issues, so dont let me scare you. I would get it.

How exactly do these things work? They disable the battery, but it still gives off enough juice to keep alarms, clocks, etc. running. Is that correct?
