Del Sol audio upgrade
I did a search and only found Sols with either the subs in the trunk, or a huge box behind the seats...
Since Im not looking for either of the two..
Would it be possible to fit some 6.5 inch subs where the rear speakers are?
Or would it make a big improvement (in bass too) by just upgrading the factory speakers and head unit? (without adding an amp)
What kind of speakers have you guys upgraded with? I was looking at some kappas, but dont know if theyll fit. Any input? Thanks.

JL audio makes a stealthbox for your car with 2 8w6 subs in it.

You'll notice a difference in sound with an upgraded head unit and speakers - especially if the speakers are well matched with the internal amplifier.
I have 6.5" Polks in my doors powered by ~60w RMS from a Pioneer amplifier and Alpine head unit. It has plenty of bump for the time being. You may want to look into just doing head unit, front speakers, and a 4 channel amplifier that can be bridged to 3 channels so you can eventually get a subwoofer.

The Kenwood will do the job, but you'll want to consider an external amplifier for better sound.
As fa as telling if it'll do the job, it's all "in the ear of the beholder."
Just get the head unit and speakers if you like them and go from there. You can always upgrade to an external amplifier.
