Which deck would you get...

There's a reason why the only decks I have run in the last 7 years are things like Alpine's 7949 and Eclipse's 8052. It doesn't matter what it looks like because in a real sound system your eyes shouldn't be pulled to the reciever anyway. Hell, you might lose points because it pulls a judges eyes down. *lol*
Are there really people out there who watch their reciever displays while going down the road??? No wonder my insurance rates are so damn high...
And to the initial question, I would go with the Alpine unit. It's eq feature is a little hard to use, but plain and simple it's a bad *** deck at it's price point...

i totally agree that the sole function of a deck is sound. the truth is theres a lot of people who want all the flashing lights and special features, just look at all the mini systems at best buy and circuit city. thats another reason why i prefer the higher end stuff, the dispalys are very simple. when i look at my deck all i want to know is which track im on, the volume and maybe the time of day
