hey everyone...i have a kendwood kdc-5019....and it seems like when i hooked it up it works and all but the thing is it doesnt' have memory to my setup. Like when i turn on my car again, it reset all the setting. do u guyz know what is wrong? plz help. PICTURES will help alot.. thanks

 

i believe it has a yellow wire it needs to go to a constant power source

Yellow. it powers the memory which saves all of your settings and preset stations.

 

If you used a Metra harness to put your deck in, just connect the yellow wire off the deck to the yellow wire on the harness. Then plug it in to the harness in the car. If you (or someone else) cut the factory harness out of the car, you'll need to use a multimeter and test for constant 12v. Needs to be 12v there when the key is off.

 

i have the harness....but it still doesn't have memory..... it connects fine but when u turn off da car and turn it back on....there's no memory, but when you have da car on and turn off da deck and turn it back on, it has memory.....so its wierd
