DECK CODE !
I installed some aftermarket foglights, but when I was hooking up the ( + ) I accedently took the wire off the battery and now my stereo is reset. I need the code to turn it back on. I called Honda and they said that there is a serial number on the back of the deck, if I can give them that, they will give me the code. But that means i gotta pull the deck out and I don't really wanna do that. So is there another way of doing it ? I know the car comes with that code but I can't find it, I'm like the 3rd owner of the car. Is this code uneversal ? I don't get why they would do such a stupid thing on a stock deck. 5th gen Lude 2000.

Okay no more asking for factory unlock codes or you get locked.
If you don't want to pull the deck, you have to pay Honda, Circuit City, or Best Buy to pull it for you.
Write down the serial number or take the entire deck to Honda. You will need to show them the title for the car, and the person whose name is on the title must be present with legal ID.
This is the ONLY way to do it. They wont give it to you over the phone, and there is no universal code.
Never buy a used Honda/Acura radio with theft lock unless it comes with the code because otherwise it's impossible to unlock it.
Look in your glovebox for a sticker with the code. If you have the factory manual, also look in there for a sticker or a card.
If someone on this site has access to Hondas database, they can make themselves known and I will put their PM contact in a sticky.
