I think this deck is better all around.

Plays MP3s, wma files.
Sirius compatible.
Great price.
2 sets of RCA outputs.
Remote control
Changes over 50 diff colors
Save your self $150 & get one of these
, I installed mine 2 days ago & its the best head unit i ever bought.

Well if you want bling, don't get the Alpine, if you want a HU with lots of buttons bells and whistles, don't get an Alpine, if you don't want a HU with 18 watts rms and 50 watts peak, don't get the Alpine, if you don't want a HU with a 2 or 3 way digital x-over, don't get the Alpine. I can go on and on, how about, "Bass Engine"
if you don't want total control of your subs from your HU, don't get the Alpine.
On the other hand if you want the best, get the Alpine. http://www.alpine.com go ahead check out the specs of the CDA9851 to the Pioneer or the Sony or any other HU for that matter, It may not be bling, but for control and SQ it OWENS.

I would add in:
Pioneer 860mp premier (Yes, the premier model, not the regular model).
That would compare more favorably against the alpine.
Both the pioneer and the alpine units are great then.
