Default In dash screens

Does anybody know how to hook up the in dash tv's so that you can watch while the e-brake is down? My friend grounded the wire and hooked it up to a swtich but now the e-brake light is always on. is there anyway to do this without having the e-brake light on?

just ground the wire going to the screen, grounding the parking brake wire also will leave the light on

Is this for an Alpine monitor because they are the only ones that need a switch while driving. If it isn't, just ground the monitor's parking brake wire.

Some of the newer units require 2 seperate brake inputs, both pedal and e brake. The manufactors are trying to make it tough. You can wire up a set a switches to give it the input you need. One requires you to press the brake pedal (+input) then lift the e brake (-input) then release the pedal before it will work.

LOL, that's kinda gay but smart I guess on their part. Just find out if the leads need a + or - and connect them to the respectful +/ground.
