I did and I don't mind. But then again I have CAA which is a motor league thing here in Canada so if I get a flat they can bail me out. SO I have no need for a spare.

Better Idea:

Get a fifth wheel to match your current wheels, mount it on an identical tire, and somehow incorporate that into your custom enclosure/display. That's what I'd do, and I've seen it at shows, etc., and that's what I like the best

thats tru, i thought of that, but i'm not doing like a fiberglass customization, i was just planning on using wood (mdf) to make myself a sub floor type of thing

You can get an associate card through your family for cheap. For me it was an $50.00 a year because my mom has a card. Which works out perfectly when i go on road trips with friends. I just call CAA if there is any problems.

I was also going to make some sort of false floor, but I decided I didn't want to mess around with hooking up fans to keep the amps cool, etc.......so, I did this instead. Not exactly what you are looking for, but maybe it will give you an idea. To me, saving trunk space was key........and overall, I am very happy (have a grill on now though). I have a 99 Integra GS Sedan by the way.

If you want to do a false floor install then you're gonna have to use fiberglass for the bottom of it anyways.

that may change what you want to do
