not completely finished yet, going to do some fiberglass work in the front corners up by the seats to cover the wiring

looks good, i would just put the amps on the seat, and then hide the wiring.

Those subs need HUGE boxes to perform properly

Min req airspace is 1.5 cuft as per kicker's website. 6cuft MAX, if that is the 15in. If it is the 12in the max volume is 2cuft. I don't exactly know where you hear you need a huge box for it to perform properly...

i don't even know why they have specs for sealed since they perform very poorly when sealed.

Min Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 3.0, 85.0
see? 3 cubes before port and sub displacement .

For a 15in.

That box he has it in sure doesn't look like a ported box...

And why do they perform poorly when they are in a sealed box? Do you have the freq response graphs for each box?

No..but every sealed application i've heard sounded like crap. muddy bass that didn't dig low..got loud, though.

ported still sounds bad imo but they they sound better than sealed.

I know the older model kickers worked good in small places....but the L7 needs waaay more space and a port...setup looks good but it wont be deep

It may not be custom but it's what my 15 looks like in my EK. It sits about an inch below when I put the hatch.."Protector??" on. And the seats still fold up so nothing is visible.
Type R speakers all around. pdx 1.1000 and pdx 4.100 and a single din d106 from alpine as well :D
