Default custom sub setup help

I tried searching but it wouldn't work, I have 2 12 inch kicker subs that i just pulled out of my 2001 integra, i got rid of my backseats and now i have decided that i am going to just do a delete kit for the back seats and decided i wanted to put my subs back in but not in the box. i know nothing about what i would need to do a custom box or custom molding to have it in the trunk. any positive help will be greatly apreciated.

as far as specifically fitting it in the teg, i don't have any suggestions. i'd not suggest using an infinite baffle setup like that...it'll never sound good IMO. i'd built a custom fit box. also, don't use the manufacturer's specs for port size, box volume, etc. use a program like winisd pro, which is free by the way, to calculate the box volume, port size (if vented is ideal), etc based on the specs of the woofer. the box that will result will be perfect. it's a pretty involved process as far as deciding what kind of response curve you want, etc, but it's nothing that a few hours on the webz can't explain ; )

You can build a custom box in the tire well area but the space is limited to a point. If you go this route, I would suggest dynamating the entire area first before fabricating a fiberglass box back there. If not, it will rattle like a ****.

From what I'm told, fiberglass and plexiglass are for looks not performance. So if you're not worried about weight, then put fiberglass over a complete built wood box. You could also dynomat inside the box for better quality. Most will argue that it does nothing, but until they try it don't listen to them.

you can start by going to lowes and picking up a sheet of mdf board, screws, and wood glue. i would suggest also picking up some fiberglass even if you're not doing a fiberglass box. you can fiberglass the joints inside the box to seal it better.
