Custom JL Trunk
My local car audio shop just finished my custom JL setup in the trunk of my '96 Integra. It has three 8 inch JL subs sunk into the carpet and formed in the shape of a triangle. All you can see is the top of the subs sticking up out of the carpet and it looks perfect. The amps have been sunk into the carpet/plastic casing as well and you can only see the part of the amp that shows the power needles. I love it and it bumps like hell too! The only downside is that I have absolutely no room for even a gym back back there now, but oh well. I will try and post some pics as soon as I can
i have a similar except my amp is under plexiglass. i use 2 CPU fans, the 4" kind. on one side of the amp i have a fan blowing air into the amp's "box" and the other one is pulling that air out.
From what I've found, it seems that most installers charge pretty much whatever they want. I'm not against it as long as it's quality.
So you've got an amp and two subs under plexiglass (assuming you dumped your spare). Do you mind my asking how much you paid for your setup?
