Compustar Model Differences
I've been looking at the Compustar Alarm systems. Does anyone know the big difference between the 2WSS-AS and the 2WFM-AS? And does anyone know where a good place to order one of these systems? TIA
the SS is spread spectrum and they claim a 1.25 mile range. The remote can be set to vibrate.
The FM has a .25 mile range and the remote has no vibrate feature...only beep.
thats all i know. The FM is about $100 cheaper around here.

One of my friends installs these alarms an d he said the SS is a pain in the *** to install and to get anything adjusted on it you'd have to go back to the installer (I think thats what he told me).

This is inaccurate. The shock sensor has an adjustable dial and your alarm prefences can be changed with the remote. Just ask for the install manual as well as the owners manual. The install manual tells you how to navigate throught the remote buttons and change the settings.
