Default Compustar help

So I just finished wiring everything up (thanks imola-red and fcm for the post - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1109351 ), and I cannot get the thing to activate.
I have done the on/off thing correctly: relay clicks once, twice, remote beeps and the lcd flashes all signs...but still nothing happens. Ive done this twice and double checked all connections (12v,grounds). If I can just get the led to turn on to tell me its working I'll call it a victory and go from there (locks mainly, since I know the pins wires are right).
Is there something I'm missing? I mean, it should start working with just power, ground, and the antenna right?

I have 1 remote (lcd), no remote start

I wanted to finish this today

alright, I just figured out that when I do the relay on/off thing the system clicks once after starting and then as soon as I put the batter back into the remote the relay clicks twice, signalling that its exiting the learning mode - before I even get to press the button...

The documentation for the remote learning sucks a big one. The most important thing is they forget to tell you, that you have to press button "I" during the learning process...otherwise good luck wasting time and nerves.

So Im supposed to press 1 as soon as I put the battery back in, after the relay clicks once?
Wouldnt that cancel the setup?

I can't remember when exactly to press button "I", 'cause I've done it like half a year ago, but if I recall correctly, then yeah, after you put in the battery. It won't cancel anything, but it will only make your remote work...finally.

tried that a bunch of times...no go

On a side note:
After I installed it all, I hear a slight grinding when the clutch is not depressed...couldnt be the starter itself could it?
