Default Compustar 2W900FM-AS problems

So I have a 1997 Acura EL. Basically a Civic sedan. I purchased the compustar alarm and starter from a dealer and proceded to have them install it. I picked the car up and all was good. I live in a small town and the shop is about two hours away where I had it installed. On my drive home I stop in a town to fuel up and as I leave the car the interior light stays on. The LCD remote also reports that my driver side door is open. The pin on the door is not stuck in at all so its not that. Also in Valet mode it does not lock/unlock the doors. The second remote would not learn either. I tried that myself and I couldn't get it to work. They ordered me a second remote and I haven't picked it up yet.

I am not sure when I will be going back to the place where I had it installed. Is there anything I can check or do to isolate the problem and maybe fix it.

fcm I know your a master with compustar hope you can help me out.

The dome light and door trigger are on the same wire. It sounds like it is grounding out. Dig it out and reinsulate it. Or sometimes a screw or bolt pierces the wire when they're reassembling the interior.

fcm IS the master. I bow to his influence.
