Default Components in a Del Sol

Ok, if any of you have had the back panneling out of a Del Sol, you know that there is a lovely little braket that holds the stock 6 1\2", 2-way, 50wat, POS speakers. Well, i was just curious if anyone has attempted to install 6 1\2" components back there? I need to know if it will attach to the bracket and have the magnet clear the metal. And it would be great if anyone could tell if the Alpine type R components will fit.
If not, will the type R 2-way speakers fit?
thanks

Not sure on the speakers you are referring to, but I did install a couple of 3-way Memphis Audio speakers in the same location of my old del sol. They fit perfectly without touching the metal.

ope sorry man type r's won't fit./ there to big, the honda speaker is acually a 6" speaker. the alpine is a oversized 6.5'. some 6.5's will fit but they can't be the oversized. phoenix gold and jl audio both make 6' seperates.
