yup that's what they basically are and they're far superior to reg. 2-3 way speakers!!! but then u'll need an amplifier if u want them to sound nice. goodluck!!!

So they are better than aftermarket speakers with a sub?
How are they to install?

Thanks for the replies.

I just bought a set of 6.5 inch infinity perfects, they are a snap to install in my 99' civic si, the tweeters go where the stock ones did, and i did have to use a rotozip to cut the baffle or whatever it is behind the speaker hole to provide enough space for the deep magnet, I may have to use washers to space it more, Im still in the process of installing (i dont have much time, about 3 hours on thursday nights). There is one difficult part of installing, not the speaker but the wiring, I am amping my perfects with 92.75 watts rms a piece with a rockford 750x amp (750x4 at 4 ohms) so I am running new wire, running wire from your trunk to inside your door is extremely time consuming, not so much hard, but you need patience, I almost lost it last thursday. But it IS worth the quality, I had Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 3ways, they were like 199.99 a set, absolutly no bass whatsoever, junk if you ask me.

funkylemons -

Where did you mount the crossover? Trunk or Doors and why?

I'm trying to decide myself right now after I rewire my '99 Si hehe .
