Default clifford remote

Hey i just bought a 1998 civic sedan that has a clifford alarm on it. I know it has a hood pin and a glass sensor as well. I took it to a car audio place to get a battery for the remote. They put a battery in it and the remote light stayed on the whole time. They said thats probably why the last owner took the battery out. they tried to sell me a whole new alarm because they said mine was old. Im sure its old and not as effective but i would rather have this than nothing. So my question is. Whats wrong with the remote? why is the light staying on? How much is a new remote? The valet light is on in the car so i know that the alram itself works. Thank you

Most alarm remotes can be purchased for around $40 online (check remotesunlimited.com). Usualy a button on the remote fails, which is why it is transmitting or blinking constantly. Do you have access to the brain to read the model # off of the brain? We can help you locate a remote as well as walk you thru the coding process.

I think it's kinds old. It is a Clifford g4. It has a hood pin with glass sensor along with another sensor which I'm not sure what it is.

"It has a hood pin with glass sensor along with another sensor which I'm not sure what it is"

Should be Cliffords "omni" sensor if memory serves, a sort of impact/tilt sensor that can be remotely adjusted. You will need to locate the brain and get the model # off of it, we should be able to track down a remote.

It will have a name, like Matrix III or ____

Check this site out once you find it, you can choose a alarm and download the manual
