Clifford Matrix RS3
does anyone here have or had this alarm, its time for a new one so im doing a bit of research, on features, ease of use, and anything else that goes into an alarm, any other suggestions would help too, thx in advance
yeah i just got the alarm too and i bought the backup battery, anyone know of any other things to get. I get a discount on the parts. I want the hood pertection, trunk pertection, and stuff like that. Does anyone know, oh yeah and i was thinking should i get a second siren for the backup?
good alarm/rs ... things to buy with it...
peizo siren (x2) ... locate one in driver's and passenger's air vents. i guarantee it will hurt a thiefs ears like hell.
mercury tilt sensor ... a must if you have rims. will trigger alarm if the vehicle is jacked up, or slashed down.
proximity sensor ... kinda overkill, but will protect you if you're the type to leave your windows/sunroof open every once in a while.
hood/trunk pin ... goes without saying
and extras... if you have powered windows, you can always throw a window control module in. a friend had one on his acura, he can roll his windows up/down with a press of a button on his remote. when hot outside, he could also hit a button to vent the windows. you set the gap.
and if you want to control any other stuff, you might want to think about a channel expander.. allows you to control 4 different functions (neons, stereo, etc) with one button. (you'll have to ask for it specifically, its a 450t)
just take care of that remote, that lcd one costs $100 to replace from clifford. a regular 4 button won't work either, that alarm only works with the lcd one.
