Way back when I was a youngin' I bought a pair of ClifDesigns 6 1/2 coaxs that were literally the best sounding speakers I'd heard to date. They had a carbon fiber cone with silk domed tweeter and that was back in 1993 (I hadn't even heard of carbon fiber back then and there were no other speakers that I know of using it back then).

Anyway, I looked them up about 2 years ago, and I found their website. I checked again the other day because I'm finally in the market, and they appear to be gone. There is some company called JBC (Just Be Cool) that is rumored to be the same company, but the components don't look even similar to me (not to mention they'd have to be retarded to rename their company from something classy sounding to Just be Cool).

Anyway, does anyone know anything about ClifDesigns and if they still exist? Their stuff was pricey (coaxes in the $250-$375 range, separates starting in the $500s), but sounded unreal.
