Default CD Player Power Issue

I just finished installing my cd player in my car. For some reason everytime i start my car my settings are not saved on the cd player. I have to adjust it everytime. I even have to manually turn on the cd player each time. I just want some tips on what it could be. Could it be a fuse or something?

ANY TIPS PLEASE MESSAGE ME. THANX

You either have a blown fuse on your constant power wire or you have it hooked up incorrectly.

Check the radio fuse under the hood...

the fuse is good, thinking about it the cd player wouldnt power on if the fuse was bad anyways.

What do u mean fuse on the the constant power? How can i find this out?

Something that seems weird, i have the red, yellow, and white w/ ??? stripe. This is the only way the deck powers on. (all the wires have to be connected together)

Yes it would.

There are two fuses for the radio. One under the hood & one under the dash.

You would check this out using a multimeter or a test light.

It is a 7.5A fuse, [DO NOT replace with a larger fuse, it is not marked as radio, probably BACKUP PWR, it is hot at all times. 94

dont run the yellow and red on the harness together. your problem lies in the red wire which is meant for switched 12V aka memory. You need to tap into the yellow/red wire if the factory wiriing is still there. if not you need to find a power source that only shows 12 volts when the vehicle is on.

" red wire which is meant for switched 12V aka memory" that's a typo, right? 94
