i noticed that my car is slow to start every morning. on my vafc when i first turn on the car its downnear 9. somthing volts. still starts but it fights me. i didnt notice until the other day that even with my car off, my amp stays lit up like it does when the radio is turned on. so i took my volt meter to it, negative on the negative, and positive on the rem turn on. still gettin a readin of almost 12.5 volts with the car turned off. so i disconnected the rem turn on from teh amp and the amp shut off. tested the rem turn on wire and got the same 12.5 reading. im guessin that this means my cd player is broke and is puttin out electricity to the amp, even when the car is turned off. sound right?
my amp did the same thing, it was a loose remote wire connection on the cd player harness.
unfortunately, that loose wire ended up frying my amp.

notices he says his car is at 9 volts. there is not enough volts to proprley operate his system. there are also other eletronics running at the same time. this could cause a radio malfunction. I seen this post on anothor form.
