Buddy opened my car with a random key! Combat problem?

So I've always heard about people opening Honda's with other Honda keys, etc. but never seen it done.

My buddy did it in about 12 seconds. Scared the **** out of me how easy it was. I've also heard that this is the method of choice by various sketchy ******* in my area. How the hell am I supposed to combat this?!

Deadbolts? I saw a how-to on HT but no pix and the commercially available ones are not to be found anymore.

HELP.

Thats ho wthey broke into my car the crook left the key behind too it was shaved down like a snub apparently toyota and honda keys are similar and can be shaved down to fit anything
