can you fit a single 12" in there?

i have a new 12" image dynamics IDQv1 dual 4ohm that will take ~ 1.0 cubic feet sealed.

sound quality is superb and can get pretty loud in a hatchback

Ever thought of a pair of 8" subs? The box could be built shorter than one with a 10 or 12 & two 8" subs can play pretty loud. I had 4 in a truck & could set off alarms easy. Not to mention serious punch! Two 8" subs in a sealed 1 cubic foot dual chamber box would fit perfect in a hatch & sound killer! I have some for sale at http://www.solsociety.com/foru...11276

Check it out. I have a few other things, and prices are easily negotiable!

I think Audiobahn subs sound muddy and sound like crap but I think there amps are decent for the money. I would look for JL's if you have the money if not Kicker Comp VR's or Polk Momo's.

'might want to have a look at Stereo Integrity's newest offerings. They just broke a new world record at SBN.

Haha, you bastard

I'd go for a single 15 or 12.

IDmax doesn't require too much power...12" - loud, sounds good.

ORDER OFF EBAY!!

I have had the following:
-Infinity Kappa 10" & 12" (amp @ 400w)
-Infinity Perfect 10 (amp @ 400w)
-Kicker SoloBaric 12" (amp @ 400w)
-JL 10w3v2 (10") (amp @ 400w)
-RocFosgate Punch DVC 12" (amp bridge @ 800w pushing 2 subs)

I really like the the Infinity Perfect 10, very good bass response below 50hz. i.e. it hits nice down low The JL 10w3v2 was also a good sub, it sounded similar to the Infinity just not as loud IMO. Regardless they are pretty comprable, and you should be able to pick up either on ebay for ~ $120 + shipping. As far as should u go with a 10" or a 12", I say a 10" sub is where its at. It is good for all types of music, and will hit the hard/fast bass that a 12" won't...
**** in-town stores, and **** Crutchfield!!!! Ebay is where its at! Just buy new!

if you really are concerned with space, there is always the infinity basslink that is selfpowered and has some good sound to it. I havent heard it yet, but i know JL has a new 8w7 that im sure lives up to JL good reputation. Me personally, I have the JL 10w7 in a sealed box and it hits sooo ****** hard, i cant turn it up too loud, and it is making me dynamat my car, but the sound is amazing. Infinity like the others mentioned are very nice as well.

now if JL Audio is good, and 8" subwoofers are bad, then what is an 8w7?

I have a 95 coupe with 3 Diamond Audio DVC 10" in the spare tire well. It is a little overkill, but who cares

the type r isnt to much special i looked at them the low bass they put out is nothing to the diamond audio..i say diamond and jl audio are the best, not many people know about diamond because diamond will only let certain stores sell there products but i will say i have one 10" in a ported box and it hits, people always say get 2 12's but my one 10" in a big box and nock the hell outa 2 alpine type R's

Smart man, kicker is over rated everyone talks about the there square sub like its gold when it really cant produce low bass.

I like the innovative stuff that comes out of Adire Audio and Resonant Engineering. Crazy excursion with excellent sound quality.

Not too many people have heard of those companies though.

to the best of my knowledge.
there is no "best" subs
everybody has different taste in music and how they want to listen to it.
the only answer i can give you is for you to go out and look/hear for youself and see which on you like most and what fits your budget.

JL's are good subs.

stop repeating what you hear. there is such thing as best, best in your own opinion.

soundroom/demoboard for sub, no way, subs sound completely different when in a car.

what do you know about audiobahn sounding muddy? here you are suggesting kicker compvr and polk momo subs they are muddy and non accurate. Audiobahn is 10 times more accurate than kicker and polk will ever be.

what is an IDmax, sounds like crap, Audiobahn for lyfe!!!. Audiobahn is the ****. they got their name from "autobahn". where all the best and fastest cars drive on, audiobahn offers nothing but the best and most accurate subs.

at a SPL comp i went to, someone with 3 XXX 15's went up against someone with 2 15" audiobahns. one hit 155.3db while the other hit 161.7db. guess who hit 161.7db, Audiobahn! your opinion sucks, please dont post anymore.
