Default "Best" RCAs?

What are some of the best RCAs to use? Iv had good luck with Stinger RCAs, but i didnt have the "best" equipment before to use with them. I am wanting to get the 10W6v2 sub powered by JL 500/1v2.

Right now I have, running to where my subs will be, 17ft Stinger Dream Series RCAs. I believe those were the best from Stinger at the time when I got them.

I am needing to get a pair of RCAs to run to my front speaker amp that will be mounted under my passenger seat; its an Alpine MRV-T320 amp going to power Type-R 6.5 components.

Since i bought those dream series interconnects, Stinger has come out with a lot more "series" of products, im not sure which one is the best.

What would be a good set of RCAs for my front speaker setup (and subwoofer setup, if there is somethin better than the dream series thats out now) ?

KnuKonceptz is fine too. Just grab something shielded from them like the Karma SS RCAs.
Cheapest and worked well for me. Open to suggestions. :-)

Not dissing but those have to be some of the cheapest wires rcs on the planet. A member brought me some of those to use in his system. And the dam things picked of engine noice. MAde it a pia to text a head unit, amp, grounds anfter running everything. Swapped out to the tsunami line and noice gone. You into streetwire or tsunami lines. Monster has some good one to as so do jl. For bass you can get away with out using the highend lines. You pay for what you get. Steer clear of the knu brand.

Tsunami is pretty good, So is street wire, but Monster Cable is the best, i think. Kicker also makes some good stuff. Wrx killer basically laid out the 3 main companies when it comes to audio wires.

stinger has good cables and rockford has a set you can get from best buy. i cant remember what there called but they have the black cloth outer jacket and 1 end is a noise drain. thy work real good. also street wires(esoteric), kicker, jl, etc. all make good wires. just stick with a name brand.

You said best, right
MIT MI350 Shotgun 6' yours for the incredibly low price of $1000 a set.
Guaranteed to walk all over Monster, JL audio, Kicker, Stinger and pretty well any other "car audio" RCAs out there.

But then again using RCAs that cost twice as much as the amp may not be most cost effective way to go. 94

Alright. Right now i have the Stinger Dream Series RCAs running to where the JL 500/1v2 amp will be once I install it. Im guessing these will be plenty for the SQ I can get out of my Alpine CDA-9807?

Ha yea, ya got me! I am just lookin for the RCAs that will give me the best sound possible with the CD player and equipment i will be getting, the JL amp and sub. before i had "cheaper" type amps/subs and now im going more high-end. I was thinking the 17ft Dream Series interconnects would be good but with whats out now, i wasnt sure.

I dont mind spending money on some good RCAs because thats the first part (after the cd player processing) that the sound could be degraded; trying to avoid that!

So, is the Stinger Dream Series able to get the best sound out of my planned setup, or is JL, Tsunami and streetwire a better choice?

JL Audio cables are pretty good, [Premium] even the Standard series is not bad.

Hint... like any cables/wires in car audio, interconnect should be kept as short as possible. 94

I wish i could get the 3ft but its about a foot and a half shy of what I need so ill have to go with the 6ft RCA for my front alpine amp...most likely the JL Premium.

As for when I get the subs, idk if i will keep the dream series or go with JL. The guy at the local car audio store (Santa Fe Autosound in Overland Park KS, if anyone has been there) said that they are comparable with the JL Premiums. What do you guys think? Swap to JL on the long one to the trunk or keep the Stinger Dream Series? I havent had much experience with higher-end equpiment (like jl w6 series subs, and JL slash v2 amps)
so im not sure if the stinger RCAs i have now will do the trick for an SQ system or not

Just keep in mind that you do get a better quality cable with the price, but i would only go with the REALLY nice ones if you were a SQ freak! my first set of rca's i bought were a pair of Rockford Fosgates with the Noise cancellation feature back around 2000. I thought it was going to be worth it to pay the extra money and have a good quality set of interconnects. about a year and a half later they failed on me, Then i had a spair pair of like cheapo 17ft cables laying around, used them, didn't notice any quality difference, so i just always buy the cheap 10-20 dollar pair of scosche or whatever and they do the trick, but to each his own.

yea they look like they would be really nice, but expensive. i would like to get a pair of those though. what speakers/amp r u running with the ZN9's?

for my speakers up front (running to the alpine mrv-t320 amy) ill probably get a 6ft set of JL Premium interconnects at a local shop.

for the subs, when i get the JL 10w6v2 and 500/1v2, ill use the stinger dream series rcas for now and get the Z9s later.

While this thread is alive, what do you guys think about speaker wire? i hear some say that the wire from Wal-Mart brand is fine to use, i hear some say you have to go with the expensive name brand. Looking at it, if its OFC copper, id say it looks like it would be just as good as paying out the butt for the name brand wire, but i might be wrong. I see that speaker wire is mostly just OFC copper within the plastic/rubber jacket. What do you guys think?

I am running an Optical out from the Alpine Head Unit to the Alpine Processor and the ZN9's from the Processor to Alpine PDX amps

Im going to probably upgrade the head unit in the near future. Mine is the CDA-9807:

I got it about 5 years ago. Its good for a head unit but it doesnt have all the features like optical out like the new ones have...but it does the job for now.

Speaker wire is going to depend on how much power you are pushing. I like ofc. It last alot longer. Again any name brand will do the trick. Stick with the big playes out there. But I will say after years speaker wire will start to break down. I seen it with monster, streetwire and fosgate. It turns the green color inside its self. But thats normal for being in the car enviorment.

ill be pushing 80watts rms per channel to the speakers. right now i have the Scosche ofc 14 gauge speaker wire. If needed, i can easily swap this speaker wire with something else if this is inferior wire.
