Best place to install brain?
I am about to buy an alarm for my Lude. I had a Viper on my old car, which was installed at Circuit City. They installed the brain of the alarm on the steering column, and I was later told this is not a good place because that is usually where thieves look first. My question is where is the best place to have them install the brain?
Rear seet...... ****** awesome!! never thought of that.
I just had mine installed a few weeks ago and went looking for the brain. Took me 45 minutes to track it down!! know where it is?? Hidden way way behind the fuse panel. I have like no access to it. I also can't even find the wires comeing off of it. Their all taped and wrapped in with stock wiring, impossible to pick them out. I think they installed it while they had the dash out fixing it.. only way I can see of getting in there.

in your head....hehe jp...stick that sucka in the rear quarter panel next to the gas cap/pipe leading to the tank. No one's smart or bored enuff to rip apart that area of the car.
Try putting the brain deep into your dash....i mean DEEP. This would probably take a long time but it'll be well worth it. Make sure u use a camo kit to make it look like stock and use the same tubing, tape....etc. etc. Another thing, i would NEVER EVER EVER go to circuit city, best buy...or some other cheap *** place to get it installed.
I met a guy @ Circuit City that also drives a 96 Integra (GSR though). He installed my Viper for me and I still can't find the brain. He did awesome. I know the car inside and out, and thought I haven't spent an hour looking, it is definatly well hidden. This is my only awesome experiance I've ever had @ CC, but I think it was just luck.
