Best ground for an amp
Where is the best place for a ground for an amp in an ex civic 00? I get noise from my exhaust through my speakers. Also. Can I put one ground to 2 amplifiers?
I doubt you've got noise from your exhaust through your speakers...
It's probably alternator whine. The best ground is one to a main panel in the car (floorpan), and free of paint/rust/oxidation. Seatbelt bolts work well (under the rear seat), or make your own.
Yes, you can ground two amps to the same spot.

im almost POSITIVE that its exhaust. either way, how owuld i be able to fix it.
the reason i say exhaust is becuase it rumbles with my exhaust when its idle & low rpm, but when its up high(rpm) it doesnt make as much noise

You will have to explain, "I get noise from my exhaust through my speakers" I do not see how that would be possible.
The best place is to the floor pan of the car, with a ground lead as short as possible.
Ideally all amps should be grounded to the same point, [proper gauge cable from each amp to the same grounding point] seat and seat-belt bolts/studs, [or any bolt/stud that is in the floor pan] work the best.
Make sure grounds ring terminal is in contact with the bare metal, [no dirt/paint] of the floor pan.
"Beef up" the batt. to chassis ground with at least the same gauge cable used for grounding the amp.

when i rev my engine it rubmles with RPM and SOUNDS like my exhaust, not a whine like alternator. but how would either be fixed becuase i do think that my alternator might be the culprit
Have a proper load check done on your charging system, most batt./alt. shops do this for free, it only takes a few min.
Without a lot more info there is no way we can tell you how to fix the problem.
Start with makes and models of the audio system.
What kind, [gauge] of power cable are you using?
What kind of fuse is in the power cable?
What kind of RCA leads do you have?
How/where are the RCAs and power cables run?
Does you car have an aftermarket ign. system, [like MSD]?
