battery relocation help (diagram)
im going to relocate my battery this weekend and just need a little help.
i have searched and have only 1 question.
these are my plans.

the question i have is, the altanator has a wire that comes off it to the fuse box. what do i do with that? just keep it there?

It would help to know your year / make / model.
Don't use a circuit breaker. They're just not reliable. Use an ANL fuse.
Wire the battery straight to the starter with 4 gauge wire (with the fuse within a few inches of the battery of course). Then run an 8 gauge from the starter to your fuse box. You can just reuse the stock wire if you want.
What about your grounds? I suggest running a 4 gauge ground from the battery to each rear frame rail. Make sure to use a wire brush attachment to your drill to remove all the paint. If you want to ensure you have a good ground and you're not increasing noise and interference in your electrical circuits, you should also run a ground to the front. You could run a 10 gauge wire to the thermostat housing where your ECU and many sensors are grounded.
