Default Battery Recommendation

I have a 91 integra, I'm going to be running 2 RF subs and a MTX amp, thats about 1200-1500 watts. I want to store the battery in the trunk. I'm looking at optima yellow because its more convenient to put in the trunk and won't leak acid. What do you guys think I should get? Which model of optima yellow I should get. Their website is down. I think its d51r??

Thanks.

I'd say don't worry about the battery, and upgrade your alternator. The only use the battery will provide is to give power when the car is off. You'll still get dimming lights with a larger battery when the car is running if the draw exceeds what your alternator can put out... plus a larger battery will put more of a load on your alternator than a smaller unit (typically)

Thing is battery is dead. It time for replacement. I also want to relocate it in the trunk to make space for all the turbo piping that I gotta put in. Alternator is still couple of months old. I just need a good battery for my system.

So no go on the optima? its all hype?

An optima is NOT hype.
They are the ONLY batt I will put in my car.
They are seen in almost any stereo car for a reason.
My Red top is going past 5yrs now.
No problems what so ever. 1,000 cold crankig amps is real nice.

If you are running a 2 batt set up and you plan on putting the new batt in the boot, get a yellow.
Look for the one that fits your needs.
