Default Bad Wiring?

alright i got a 94 gsr. i have a sony head unit and audiobahn components up front and audiobahn 6x9 in the rear deck. every once in a while the sound gives out. the radio and cd player keep playing just fine i just can't hear anything. then when i shift or go over a bump the sound sometimes comes back on. when my car is still the sound is perfect. how can fix this or is their a way to rewire all the audio wires. any advice will help thanx.

It sounds like there's either a short (some wires are touching, possible at the speaker and not necessarily behind the head unit) or a loose wire... more likely the former.

If that checks out ok, there may be a problem in the head unit. Pull it out and tap/bounce it around a little to try to reproduce normal car motion.

check for bad soldering on the speakers as well...sometimes if they are pushed really hard, the heat can cause solder connections to become weak...make sure none of the wires on the speakers touching (the ones that run to the coil...that happened on my Girl Friends 10" Rockford Fosgate...it was the poor design of the Sub causing the wires to arc and short out the sub...eventually leading to destroying the amp.
