autostart problem
Can anyone give me a trouble shoot on this. My autostart turns on for a split second then shuts right off. It does it everytime 3 times then stops. I have a Clifford Matrix RS3 alarm system.

Re: (Liquidgsr)
Did this fix the problem. Are you using the voltages for signal or are you actually running a tach wire from your alarm?
Ive seen this problem when you try to run tachless, but never when running a tach wire.
Is your purple/white wire hooked up?

should be a thin purple/white striped wire coming off the brain attached to the tach signal in the vehicle. if you do as B18C_EJ8 says...and the LED indicator comes on and stays on for as long as you hold the valet/program button after turning the vehicle on...you are good. if not, you'd want to run it to the vehicle's tach signal wire or if it's in an extremely tight spot...you can use an injector wire as well but you should really attach to the tach signal wire.
what kinda car is this system in anyways??? only cuz you failed to tell us.

Re: autostart problem (jz98ctr)
Yeah that fixed it. Its a 94 Integra GSR. I didn't install the alarm so I am not sure what wires are run where. Thanks for the help, that did fix the problem.

Re: autostart problem
Sorry to resurrect old thread, but I don't understand which wire I hook up the remote start to? I want it to run in tach mode but don't know where the thin purple white wire is? off ECU?

Re: autostart problem
I got a 93 EH Hatch with bulldog security starter. BUlldog instructions say
TACH BLUE (AC) @ 2-PIN PLUG NEAR DISTRIBUTOR
is that right?

Re: autostart problem
Purple with the white stripe is the tachometer wire coming off the remote start the you will hook up to the tach wire in the car or fuel injector.
