Default Audio help

I am big fan of the Alpine Type-R I had a previous gen with 500 rms output ans a JBL mono amp. The new generation 10" is putting out 800 rms. I like 10's because the bass is crisper. I want to put two of these in the back of my hatch. I found a deal on the subs but the amps at the reatailers are are VERY expensive or they don't sell anything powerful enough. I don't want to under power them. Do you guys have any recommendations for online retailers, brands etc. All I can find is cheap china junk like Pyle. And if you buy directly from the supplier you basiclally pay store prices. Any tips would be appreciated.

I want 2 10" type r subs so i need at least a 1600 rms mono amp

I found a kicker that makes 1500 rms

ZXS1500 1 Kicker 1 CH Sub Amp 3000W Max Subwoofers Speakers Amplifier 12ZXS15001 713034059929 | eBay

I am wondering if i should just go with one type r (1000 rms) because 2000 rms amps are very expensive and hard to find or 2 kicker subs that put out 1000 rms. I am just thinking that 2 subs always looks better than one.

there is absolutely no tech in this thread. its audio. look into the JL A1800 amp. 2000W RMS, can usually find them pretty cheap, and they will do your type r's fine. personally i wouldn't use type r's but they can take a **** kicking and they sound pretty good.

^Agreed. I've had my two 12" Type R's for about 10 years now.
