I have this sub and I'm thinking about going with this amp wired like so:

is this amp over kill? any recommendations would be great.

 

It will do just fine. Lil bump in the trunk for the budget minded. Only recommendation is use a 4awg amp kit as a base. It's a good practice regardless and if you ever think you might upgrade some day in the future you won't have to pull out the old wiring.
