attempted GTA
the story:
me and a friend go down union landing to get some grub around 6pm. i parked my car near the century 25 theatre nearby "borders". i guess it was a bad spot to park as not many troll thru there. i come back to my car around 8:45pm finding out someone attempted to steal my car using maybe a screwdriver thru the driver side key hole. i can see scratches and whatnot.
the cause: i have a keyless entry on the 2003 honda and for those who know that hondas that come with keyless entrys make a beep after the 2nd lock. well, mine doesnt do that anymore after this.
the problems: drivers door wont lock with keyless... only manually using the key at drivers side door. passenger door responds to keyless BUT once i lock it manually with the key, the passenger wont respond to the keyless entry after that. the passenger only responds fine once the car was unlock.
as for the inside power door locks, the passenger door side repsonds to it perfectly fine, but the drivers door does not at all. and i can still push/pull the driver lock **** up and down once door is closed.
my questions:
-what do you think a possiblity could be?
-from common expierences or knowledge, what could have been jerked with?
-is this an easy DIY procedure?
-from least to worse damage, whats an estimate price quote for maxium charge from a shop and minium?

I have no idea, but if the only damage is at the drivers door lock, I would pull the door panel and check and see if any wiring or switch's have been damaged, because the lock seems to still work, [lock will only work with key on drivers side] I would guess they tried to use a slimjim of some sort, and may have done some damage to wiring or switch's inside the door, the other thing I would check it the wiring harness into the drivers door, both inside the door and in the doorjamb and inside the car, have you looked up under the dash for damage to wiring? maybe they got in, and could not get it started or didn't find anything they wanted to steal or got scared away
