Default Anyone using MB Quart?

Just wanted to know whos using what. I have Diamond Audio im getting rid of for MB Quart. I dont want to spend the $700 for the QSD-216 ($1100msrp) if something like the RCE-216 or PCE-216 will sound almost as good. Any experiences guys?

I've listened to an MB quart filled Bently with a McIntosh head unit. Considering the speakers and head unit cost more than 10 grand, I really dont think its worth it.

If anything, whenever spending that much money on speakers you should try to listen to all of your options with your own type of music (your CD) and decide if you think its worth it. Just keep in mind when you listen to different systems in different setups, the other components might make a particular speaker stand out more.

I personally love my MB quarts components. They're certainly not the top grade ones but they're not the bottom either, they're around the middle. I believe they were the psc or pce line, I can't really remember. Either way, like other people said it really depends on your tastes. I've heard many different brands and MB quartz is towards the top of my list. Compared to say Infinity Kappas in my other car, I think MB quartz sound alot better. Infinity tend to sound too bright for me. Either way, they're solid speakers, but I would consider listening to them first before ditching your diamond audio speakers..

EDIT: Of course when you're really looking for the best sound quality, a solid headunit and external amp are required...

Im running an Alpine9815 deck, JL 300/4 amp, and all 12guage wiring. I seem to be the ONLY one who doesnt like my Diamond HEX's. So im going to work with it and play around with setup. If it still sounds like ****, sorry.. but they're gone. .haha. Ive only used them for 2 weeks.

Front:
RSD-213 component 5.25"
Rear:
RSD-216 component 6.5"

Amp:
Ecplise 50x4

I really like these speakers, and wouldn't buy anything else.

Ive come to realize that i can get great sound without spending freakin $600+.... So...... ive narrowed it down to this.

PCE-216... how do these sound?
JL XR Series
Kappas
Focal Polyglass 165V2

The only reason why is because i just bought a new car, and im gonna start fresh.

i would put those JL XR-series ahead of all other components you have listed.

The TR series of JL are more comparable to the polygass. the XR are more comparable to the polykevlar version of focal. the kappas are in the same league as the polyglass also. PCE? i'm not too good with MBQ names, but if they are discus series, go a notch up and consider the premium series. unless the PCE are the premiums?
