Hello all:

I recently purchased a refurbed Python 881xp from Ebay, but it didn't come with the install instructions. I know directed.com gives you free manual downloads, but I already tried. They have user manuals only, no install. Calling them didn't help either. So if anybody has the install instructions and can hook a fellow member up, I'd greatly appreciate it. And in case you're wondering, I'm an ASE certified technician with lots of alarm install experience, just no installation instructions.

Also, if anybody knows any short falls of this alarm system, please feel free to chime in.

Have you done any DEI product before?
If so this is a cake walk (We don't need no stickin' manual)
The schematic with polarities are listed on the back.

 

Yes I have and I was counting on the schematic to be on the back, but this model doesn't have it. It also has like a million other wires, because it has remote start, so any help would be appreciated.

If you'll notice, the post says that I already tried directed.com, which is aka dei.com. They won't give anybody that's not a DEI retailer any INSTALL intructions for alarms, however USER instructions are available. Thanks anyway.

 

typically the schematic is only found in the back of the install manual, not the user manual.

List some of the wire colors found on the unit's harness, and I'll see if it matchs up to the colors all the other DEI units pretty much use. That might atleast get you going (if all the colors match up I could give you a list of what color does what with what polarity).
