Default Amps and Subs

If I don't plan to get a sub, do I still need an amp? Will an average HU have enough power to power the front & rear speakers?

Thanks

Depends on the HU. I've got a bit older pioneer deck, it puts out 45WX4 and sounds really good. A couple days ago, my freind and I wanted to test out an amp he wanted to sell. It's not even a good amp. 600W Peak 2Ch. Legacy. We hooked it up to 2 6X9's and set it to high pass, his two speakers drowned out easily all 4 of the speakers in my car and it sounded good.

Just depends how loud you want your high's I guess.

Depends on if you want to hear an OK sounding system, or if you really want to turn the volume up and get jammin!!
