Default amplifier wiring,help

I just got a wiring kit, and I was trying to connect the power cable to the battery from the amplifier. I Have a Honda accord 1989, and i cant find where to feed the power cable through from the passenger footspace, i couldnt find anything. There werent any holes to feed the cable. If any of you know were to feed the cable into to get into the engine area, i would really like to know where the space is that goes from the passenger footspace to the engine area.

If you have an automatic then you should have an open area where the clutch would be and you can drill a hole and grommet it. If its a stick then you will have to find an open area to drill through. On cars where there are not much room and I am using 4 or 8 guage wire I will use a grommet punch and feed the wire through the grommet, but will probably not have one so I would just drill a hole. Triple check where you drill. You don't want to drill through a brake booster or a bundle of wires. If you feel uncomfortable doing it take it to an installer and have them do it.

I can't believe you could not find a grommet on the pass side of the car, the batt. and engine bay fuse box is on that side of the car, there will be at least one large grommet where the engine bay harness enters the car, There should be others.

Undo the fuse box and move it over a little and look there, if your car did not come with A/C there will be the holes for the evaporator on the pass. side.

If you can't find one, go to your local mom & pop car audio shop and pay the installer $10 to drill the hole and install a grommet. 94
