...Well i have old Type S door speakers along with the center channel that alpine makes. I run the Alpine MRA-D550. 5 channel amp with built in EQ and Dolby 5.1 Processor. Amp runs between 500-700. Not sure how much you wanna spend, but amp is DEF worth it.

The R series are what I call "current hogs"...they can work with say radio power only (8-22 watts on avg) but really come alive when they are amplified with 75-150 watts RMS per channel. There are several great product to choose from Alpine to Zapco.

Here are some tips for you:

- how much space you have to work with for an amp
- what is your budget
- do you want a single chassis solution (5 channel amp) or multi amps

Have fun

if it was my decision i would choose the pdx series from alpine they run about $500 you can find them for less if you look around but they are 100.4 and sound super clean and are small so can easily be mounted under a seat or something.

thx for the input guys, i'm looking for something under $500 and can fit under the passenger of a del sol. I was actually looking at the MRP-F600 since its within my budget, any idea if that'll work with my speakers?

You can get the PDX 4.100 for under $300 online and they are great amps, very small as well.

Also look into blaupunkt amplifiers. They are made in Germany I believe thats why they arent well known but these amps are of high quality. And the pricing is relatively affordable with a THA475 amp runnning around $200 on crutchfield or $100 if you buy the discontinued version which is just the THA475 w/o the plug and play option.

Blaupunkt run my components fine. and fits under my seat with their slim design. Your just knocking them cause they are not well know in the states. You probably never even had personal experience w/ a blaupunkt amp lol. How about you offer a suggestion then youre free to critique. OP blaupunkts are fine and CEA-2006 certified meaning they have been tested produce the power they advertise

Personally I think Balupunkt amps are just as good as Alpine amps. Both of which I don't care for.
