Default Amp without a Sub?

I bought my EM1 about a month ago with this wiring setup attached to my rear seats. I make no bones about the fact that I know nothing about wiring or audio.
It has this amp setup in the back but it has no sub, so my question is, do I need that back there. Is it doing anything to help the sound quality or radio power?

Is the other amp a 4 channle?

But no, you don't need it. The Alpine amp anyways.

No you don't need that back there.

Unless you want to get a sub.... A good one at that.

And I forgot what the middle one is... A power regulator? I don't know...

You sure these aren't hooked to anything?

It's a capacitor.

u dont need it unless ur rear speakers are hooked up to it, then you wont have the same 'quality' when u remove it...

Caps are pointless. They are just a band aid.

Ok, I'm going to look into the wiring and see if the rear speakers are connected to it, if not, it's coming out. I hate sound stuff like that, and I don't much fancy my head unit either. But that one is going to have to stay until I get my hands on a stock EM1 radio.

The shiny one is an MTX. Probably a 2 channel or 4 channel which is used to power the interior speakers.

The 2nd is an alpine mrp 500. That's for a sub.
