Amp question
I have a 2000 ex coupe with a Kenwood Excelon CD player. I have purchased 2 sets of JL Audio XR650CSI's for my doors and rear panels. I need to know what would be a good quality amplifier to power these components. I do not want to spend an arm and a leg. I just want good quality with clean power. I was thinking of purchasing a Rockford Fosgate 301x or 501x but I have seen where people call them junk. I have a Punch 100ix which I plan to run a sub. Can anybody give me a suggestion regarding a good quality amp. thanks
need somthing about 30 watts to 50 watts by 4.you can use a 2 channel amp,but you wont have any fading capabilities.alpine,jl,ads, xtant are all good quaity amps as are others......it all boils down to how much you want to spend!i've got an older alpine thats 40 by 4 good condition, for 100 shipped.lmk

i personally went with a 2 channel memphis on mine, paid 20 bucks, sounds hellagood, you don't need a badass amp, just a small 2 channel will be sufficient, dont go all out unless you plan on doing shows and what not, i think maybe a Rockford 201s or something smaller would be good
or that guys amp, that's a good price ^^^

IMO rockford amps arent a great choice for speakers. rockford amps are good for power, but even then theyre not great at it. i would suggest an eclipse amp, theyre solid and great for speakers. i can get u a nice 4 channel for $200 shipped. rated at 50 watts x 4 @ 4ohms. the model is EA3422, u can look it at their website http://www.eclipse-web.com for $200 i dont think there is a better amp for that price.
