Alright.... I have 2 10" subs and 2 amps for them... Easy enough right? I would like to be able to run one amp to both subs MONO for daily use. So that both subs will hit all the time. I would also like to put a switch for my second amp w/ remote wire cut on idea (I know how to do that!) so I can bump hard when I want. Can I run the AMPS parallel to one another and get the power of amp1+amp2 while wired parallel? If its just like normal circuitry this should be true... Parallel means voltage stays same while wattage gains right... Will this option be possible... ?

 

ur confusing me. why would u want to do that? to bump harder? first off, wut subs r u running and how powerful are ur amps? y dont u just use one powerful amp and get a sub control?

 

Why would I want to do that? Yes, to bump harder... I am running two 10" RF hx2 subs... I got one amp that runs 420 rms and another that runs 300 rms @4 ohms which is how my subs run.. DVC 4ohm stable subs.... The subs will run 400 rms nicely... I have 2 amps already and I dont think selling both would get me a better amp than either of them considering used doesnt sell for as much. Second off, I dont have a sub control and neither amp has a place for one. They have rather cheap adjustment for being nice amps. My HU has a sub control, but that only goes so far. Right now, my bigger amp hits hard enough for my daily use... MAINLY on rock too, which is my favorite type of music. I would like to be able to slam it up to impress the buds/women and just to hit hard as **** when I feel like it. I was just trying to see if anyone has done this. I plan on running my second remote wire to a switch with a fuse so I can cut it on when I want.

 

Are you talking about strapping? This is where they are both used to power a set of speakers, and the slave amp automatically matches the settings of the master amp. This is possible, but only if your amps are strappable. What kind are they? If you were to do this, why would you turn one off? What impedience are your speakers? Both amps must be the same.

It seems that's what he is talking about. Strapping the amps to get more power. Sorry guy, that is not going to work.

 

The amp that is idle will cause the impedence load to change; maybe a dead short. Your runing amp won't like that.

 

why don't you just get an amp that has an adjustable bass ****?

 

it would be nice if u gave us more specific models. r u running punch hx2 or power hx2 and wut brand of amps. so far, the info u have given makes me wonder y u would want to do that. sell both ur amps and put more money into a stronger amp. thats wut i would do
